In The End

Time and existence mean little
to the man who prays,
as does life
to the creature that lives by strength alone.
By the grace of God,
and by Him alone,
is mercy bestowed,
and in the end,
which all must reach,
it's with his soul
that man pays.

Yes, friend--it is Him we live, move and have our being! Our works are as filthy rags so as to accomplish anything of lasting value.  It His Goodness and Grace that give the meaning to life, the value to worth, the means to see the brightness of eternity.  You have said a lot in a little-  Well done,
              David

James; I feel blessed by the simple, yet powerful message that you've penned so well here. Very inspiring, in the end it is our souls that is all that is left and hopefully that soul is filled with His Grace. Ellie

Such a profound statement! Right to the truth of the matter! So true, for all we do here, will end up with the life or death of our soul. That is where it either ends, or begins!

Excellent work! I truly loved this!

Thanks to everyone for the kind words (and up front I'd like to say I don't mind critism). Reading all the other, beautiful, works on this forum, my piddling effort is naught. But I promise to strive to do better.

Do not belittle your work, WJ, for any thing said for or in his name should be honored for what it is...a tribute.  Now, you want criticism?  I hear they do that well over in Critical Analysis...have fun!
