As I watch the rain
pouring from the sky
drenching
the earth beneath,
bringing all things
to fullness of beauty
and clensing
the petals, so that they
shimmer
as they are kissed with
the raindrops embrace.
I am reminded
of the abundance
of Your Grace
that pours forth
from Your Loving
Heart.
Willing to drench
our souls to renew
and clense
each one in need,
and transform
pain to joy,
tears to laughter,
if we would but
open the wounds
we hold so tight,
to no avail,
and allow You
to drench us
in the wonder
that is Your Grace.

Ellie,
This one reminds me of the old hymn, There Shall be Showers of Blessing, but your imagry is so much more refined, and speaks in such a loving fashion. How warm and receptive is that heart ready for that drenching, soothing reign of grace.  David
