Witnessing

Witnessing is what we are here for,
It is a great feeling to witness, not just a bore.
That is what we do,
To get souls, more and more..

When I get to Heaven,
And look at what I've done.
And have God look at me and say,
"It's all because of you, son."

"You didn't witness to that person,
now they will suffer forever in eternal torment."
Then have to say,
"But I thought I told them, I could've sworn it!"

Witness to everyone,
In every single thing you do.
Not just in words,
But in your actions too!

If you don't,
You'll be held accountable.
For souls that are lost,
When you just had to be an example.

So witness when you can,
Be a light of Christ.
It doesn't take much,
you just have to smile and be nice.

I like to add little notes at the ends of my poems, hope you don't mind!   Witnessing is one of our most powerful tools that we have as Christians. It is how we let Christ shine through us in our lives. Sometimes it doesn't take much, just a smile and a "Hi, how are ya?" But when someone is intersted in Christ and they want to learn, tell them. Your reputation won't mean a single thing in Heaven. Whether you're in school like me or at work, or even at the grocery store. Use every oppurtunity that you have.. If someone wouldn't have told us about God, we'd all be sinners, even if It were your parents who told you.. Besides, it's what God has called us to do! That's all I have to say.. Hope you like the poem, God Bless, Cecil! Feel free to e-mail me at Cecil4029@hotmail.com and thanks for the replies!

I like this poem.  It was very lighthearted.  I felt the same exact way.  I could go on forever about the Lord.  Kind of like I do when I write (LOL) CYA, Angela

Cecil; Welcome to the Spiritual Forum! I like your poetic message. You are right in saying that it takes just a smile or a little act of kindness to witness the greatest Love of all!  Ellie

We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of the God. We can't forget to witness to those who may not though.

I picked up my son from school yesterday, and there is one way out, one way all the cars have to go.  There were two men standing by the exit with boxes of hand held bibles.  I am always interested in seeing different translations and such and so I told my son to get one. They were handing them to each car as they approached.

But as I drove away, I almost started to cry as I was thinking of the school shootings and things lately.  And what a good idea that was to do. That is exactly what needs to be done, is bring those and others to God. Maybe with an understanding of HIM, there wouldn't be so much tragedy.

It just made my heart warm to see that. Actually I think I'm gonna post something on just that subject soon. I was going to do it earlier but had forgotten.

*sorry to ramble so long*

Dear Dfen, I AGREE!! When He answers our prayers, give Him testimony, plant that seed. Great job!  Blessings, Marcy
