Tomorrow Is Another Day

Some days,
it seems no matter what we do,
say,
want,
or hope,
every time we turn around,
something has gone wrong.

Some days,
the whole world seems upside down,
sideways,
and slanted,
and we wonder if it's all worth it…anyway.

Some days,
we feel it would be easier to die,
to just forget the whole,
stinking,
mess.

But then,
what of all the beautiful things
that have taken place?
What of all the warm things,
gentle things,
the loves,
the likes and gaiety,
the best of times?

What of those who consider us
their whole world?
What of those who need that something
only we can supply?

And some days,
when things are going particularly bad,
maybe we need to think of those who are crippled,
or blind,
alone and lost,
and those who have survived
a loved one's loss.

Maybe,
just maybe,
we only need to talk.
Maybe we just need a friend to abuse,
berate,
and shout at.
one with shoulders to cry on,
in the end.

Maybe it really isn't so bad.
The sun is going to shine again,
the world will go on,
and in spite of all anxieties,
we will smile again.

After all,
tomorrow is another,
brighter,
day.

James; Welcome and thank you for this timely reminder of hope and beauty. bad days are only to help us really appreciate the joyful ones. I've been there and I will have more, but hope shall prevail. Ellie (looking forward to hearing more from you)

WELCOME James!  What a message and we're so in need of this!

I sure did enjoy this wonderful poem!

I love every line. Each one gives you something to think about.
I can relate to this lately, though my days have become much more cheerful! I'm sure though it will help others as well.
