I know that the 3 poems, including this one have all been about friendships, but it's because i cherish my friends more then anything, and to lose a friend is like losing a part of myself, so here's my next poem... Tonight, when we were sharing our anguish, I got lost in your eyes. I feel like I've known you forever. You reached a part in me that no one has ever come close to; the part I don't show. The place I'm afraid to let the world see. I put on a smile, when I'm screaming inside. I'm screaming to be let out. I want to give the world to you. But I only have love, honesty, and hapiness to give to you. I've never been given that; It's only been taken from me. If I tell you how I feel, we could lose something greater than what we might get. We could lose our friendship. So maybe I should just stay back and be a friend. After all, friendship is the gift of life. |

soulfulpoet, You deserve knowing love, honesty and happiness in return for your good heart. There is nothing better to give. Without some of the friends I have made, I would be so lonely. A lot of them invisible, as I have met them on the net. Blessing, marcy |
