Sorry, such a short word;
it means so much when said,
but it's the hardest thing to say.
Sorry can fix a problem if you say it.
If not, things are left unsaid,
like you and me.
A simple "I'm sorry" could've meant the world,
but leaving it unsaid took the world away.
We were best friends,
how did we get to this?
It's hard to believe, the littlest things can leave the biggest impressions.
Our friendship took years to build, and one word for it to crumble.
Our worlds were shattered, and all the pieces disappeared.
Now, we don't even talk, don't sit together, don't confide in each other.
We see each other, seems like more then we ever did before.
I'm useless to the relationship now, I sit and reflect.
I think about why we don't talk, and the thing is, I don't remember how this all started.
What was so important then, isn't now.
But, it's too late for that one word.
Sorry.

I dunno if I can reply to the replys, but thanks a lot for the warm welcoming. I have so many poems that I've written from the heart and I finally found a place to share them..thanks you so much

I've read so many good poems already.
