We think our eyes are organs of sight
But that's not exclusively true,
For we may think we see a thing
And yet not perceive it's Truth.

And oft' it's those who are robbed of sight
Who can more clearly discern,
Their blindness did not blind at all
But gave them greater will to learn!

I'm sure we see things every day
Of which we lack appreciation,
And so we've failed the vision test
For it gave us no motivation!

We need to keep an open mind
To detect Possibilities,
And with the vision of foresight
   Opportunities we can sieze!

So Twenty/Twenty eyesight
Barely means a thing,
Unless we're open to new thoughts
   Thus superior sight to bring.

Lord, Give us eyes that we might see
And Hearts to understand,
Filled with the Grattitude of Love
   Our sight to thus expand!

That seeing we may really see
And learning we can gain,
  The INSIGHT we are needing
   To truly see as planned!

David; great job! "and hearts to understand".
Beautiful! The world and all it's way can blind us to the truth, on Jesus can give us the eyes to truly "see". Ellie

Beautiful and filled with wisdom.
"The INSIGHT we are needing
   To truly see as planned!"

So often I think of that! One who has what we call a handicap are more attuned to God. Sometimes I think it is us who have the greatest handicap of all!

Fabulous poem David, real truthful insight here!
