Don't eat the meat!
Beware the fish!
You don't know WHAT to do.
And yes, the water from the tap
may be polluted too.

The good 'ole' vegetables are sprayed
with pesticides you know,
the chikens shot with strange hormones,
they say it helps them grow.

I haven't mentioned half the things
they say it's wrong to eat.
But I just pray 'Lord bless this food,'
and keep me on my feet!

``Some have learnt many Tricks of sly Evasion, Instead of Truth they use Equivocation, And eke it out with mental Reservation, Which is to good Men an Abomination. ''

Dear Kavika; LOL!!! Jesus said "it's not what goes in our mouths that causes us to sin, but what comes out". Great poem and a good pick-me-up for all of us here. Ellie

Dear Grandma Amy,
I like your keen humor here- tho' modern life does pose many new problems not known to former times.  But in this matter I must rest it upon what Paul  says in I Tim 4:4 (I sense that you also would be in agreement): "FOR EVERY CREATURE OF GOD IS GOOD, AND NOTHING IS TO BE REFUSED IF IT IS RECEIVED WITH THANKSGIVING; FOR IT IS SANCTIFIED BY THE WORD OF GOD AND PRAYER."
Thanks for your lighthearted , thankful words,   David< !signature-->
