God what do You want of me--
But You're Likeness, that others might see
Holiness and Spirituality--
Is that what You seek in me?

LORD, what do You see in me
But the weakness of humanity
For which You died on Calvary
In Love, nailed to that awful tree?

Holy Spirit, shall You abide
In my body and deep inside
As Your Temple to reside,
Your Holy Purpose satisfied?

Thank You for Fellowship Divine
That I my true self can find
Submitting to Your Word Sublime-
Not my lowly will--but Thine!

"Our Creativity points to a Higher Creator--we couldn't have just happened, and for what ability we may possess--to God be the glory." -dlw-

David,
I sure like your humble nature, and tender and grateful heart. You really express it nicely. Thanks for the spirit-food.

"not my lowly will but thine", David this is your very best yet! The spirit and humility are pouring from your heart and it is beautiful. I'm at a loss for words, it's enough to say that I'm so touched by your poem. Thank you, dear friend. Ellie

I hope it isn't against the rules to post to a poem twice but I keep going back to this poem and when I drink it in, my spirit is made sweeter and my heart is filled. Amen.
