Oh, such good friends we used to be!
Remember that?
Remember that Jesus? Remember me?

You were my most precious moments,
My heart would cry,
You'd say, "Here am I friend, come taste and see"

Then gently, you would take my hand,
Calmly telling me truth, even when I couldn't understand
The awesome things you showed me then.

My heart wells up when I recall
The love in your master plan
The living book you brought me through.

Like a movie, only we were there in creation's midst
All the wonders of the heavens,
You shared graciously.

How from nothing, you made things exist
You showed Adam, and through Noah,
Then it dawned on me,
These aren't stories, this really happened!

And Solomon, how impressive!
And the poetry!
Then there's Job, a brave heart to the end

John the Baptist, he'd seen it too,
he knew you were coming,
And what you were about to do.

And then Mary, she's so beautiful, yet so humble!
And those fishermen, a hearty crew
But the young girl who repented,
while you were writing in the sand...

I'll never forget her
She looked so helpless standing there,
when her eyes met your eyes, she cried;
Oh please, make it better!"

Then, with your hand down on my shoulder,
We watched them torture you,
And hang you up on that cross

I miss you, my friend Jesus,
And I'm sorry that I walked away;
Yet I have a prayerful need...
Remember me? Remember me Lord Jesus?
Remember me?

Jester,
I like how you have personalized Bible History as if you were there witnessing the events under Jesus watchful eye, the Truest of all friends which we often and easily let down-yet miss because we know that He is just that-- the best friend we could ever have.  You have a good message here in your own unique style.  I say well done--and thank you!   David

This protrays a tender heart, the kind that God is able to work wonders with. As you humble yourself before God as a little child, he forgives and stands ready to be that friend that stays closer than a brother. Thanks you for your nice comments on my poems, I appreciate the uniqueness of your style.

Dear Jester; We all stray and need Jesus' infinite mercy. Don't be so hard on youself. He loves you and easily forgives. This poem is so beautifully written. Thank you. Ellie

Oh Jester, what a loving and wise heart you have. I love your heart as does everyone else, but more importantly, Jesus loves your heart more than we. I can't begin to imagine
how you could write this tribute to God, without the love of God within your heart, just as He has written His Word on the walls of your heart. Keep sharing these praises to the King of Kings, He hears. Amen.

I think you've done a wonderful job placing your heart in this. As well as many others feelings, as I'm sure we've all been here before. A piece that many can relate to, including me!

It's true, He promised us he would never leave us nor forsake us. It is us who turns our backs and walk away. I guess just the patience he has with us and our sinful ways, is enough to leave me in total Awe! How we fail all the time, and He just never gives up. What an awesome God we have.

See ya really got me thinking on this one, I got long winded
Jesse, please accept my humble apologies!

Wow, what heart and emotion you have put into this piece.  Many have fallen or walked away from the Lord at one time in their life (satan sure can be pursuasive) but those who are lost and find their way back are loved the same as though who haven't...even while still lost.  Anyone can find their way back if they truly want to, and God welcomes them with open loving arms.  You have a real talent here displaying your emotion and feelings on matters such as these.  I hope to read more as this is the firs I have read since I am new here!  God bless you!

Jester, After reading this again, let me add you were with Jesus as Paul talks to us about. Personal, to the point of being one with Him. Amen. Do not throw such a precious gift to the wind, do not take it for granted, continue and grow in all ways with the Lord.  Bless you, Marcy
