The Teacher

teach me of life said I
to the rich man
herein says he
stocks and property and
but he could not

teach me of life said I
to the learned man
herein says he
proofs and formulas and
but he could not

teach me of life said I
to Jesus
and he taught me
but of love
and love has taught me
of life.

forrest

Forrest,
This is an interesting treatment of the search for meaning and life- which like Solonmon found can only be answered and Resolved in the Divine and our Submission to our Creators will and intent.  I believe that you have given the answer- even as Jesus also did in  Matthew 11:28-30/John 14:1-6:  Jesus is the source and the answer to Life's quest!
  Thanks for the reminder!
              David

as the human race grows and learns, we have solved many problems, and hypothesised many theories. i like how you portrayed the teacher and the learned man, confidently explaining their answers. if only the world knew how little it knew.
but jesus knows, and shows those who seek answers.
great work.

Forrest, Nothing compares to the love of Jesus.

"teach me of life said I
to Jesus
and he taught me
but of love"

We can't buy it or calculate a way to get it,
very simple truth you have shared with such few words. Amen.  Marcy

Absolutely stunning work! How true it is...

This reminded me of a plaque I have on my wall, and I've used it as my signature before...

Where there is faith,
There is love.
Where there is love,
There is peace.
Where there is peace,
There is God.
Where there is God,
There is no need.

Our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
