If I knew this was my last day,
What to my children would I say?
First, I'd remind them of my Love,
A reflection of GODS from above.

My Children, for me don't greive,
For Heavens blessing I do recieve,
By HIS word I know it's true,
A place awaits for me and you.

Seek our GOD while he may be found,
Live your life on solid ground,
Search the Word, HIS will to know,
With GOD you'll prosper as you grow.

If you stray from the Shepherd's fold,
And get lost in this world so cold,
Remember GOD does love you still,
Repent and turn back to HIS will.

One day on Heavens Golden Street,
My prayer is that some day we'll meet,
A sweet reunion in the sky,
Where we shall live and never die.

what great words of wisdom. it is so important that our children are made subject to such influences today, because the world is straying more and more from the righteous
path, and its influence upon them is heavy. hence, we must be a counterweight, that they may not be completely plunged into the darkness, but will remain in the love of god and always know his goodness. i really enjoyed this work. you are very talented.

Dennis, this is so sentimental and sweet. I love this poem. I had that very thought before I said good night to my husband last night, "what if", made sure I said I love you before he retired and I remained up.
Encourging words also, if we fall, dust ourselves off and continue on with the same
confidence in God as before, this is how He would want it, don't you think?
God Bless, Marcy

Dennis; beautifully written and very inspirational. The only place to be with Jesus is in the moment, If we stay in this moment with Him, His grace is sufficient for us to live that moment perfectly in His will.
Thanks for the lovely reminder. Ellie

Dear Brother,
I see in your poetic thought you have moved from a Tarnished nation, closer home--to a Treasured Hope and Home. In both your caring, concern, and compassion are evident.  Very well, if our nation is to be rebuilt & restored--it very well needs to begin in the Home--It sounds as if you are starting your own revival and revolution there at your address.  God bless you and your lovely family,  David

This is beautiful and what I really need to remind myself of - EVERY day.

May I print this out and place it on my wall at my desk?

Dennis these words speak truth! I think that is a big problem of today that "our" children are not being taught, and they do have so much on them these days.

Train up a child in the way he should go and he shall never depart from it.

Our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

Dennis, This is such a wonderful and meaningful verse. Your children are so lucky to have you in their lives. I thank God for  the truth your heart. And that this verse be known for so many others as well. His will be done!
Sincerely,
Rwood
