Thank God for times of Reflection
The quiet times of my Life,
That I may do introspection
To assess my life's Joy and Strife.

Too often I'm hassled and hurried
Sweet flowers of life, I pass by,
Then wonder why I lack contentment
As endless my life seem to fly.

Ev'n Jesus, at times sought quiet
To be all alone and to pray,
To give Him the Strength that He needed
To excell in His busier days.

Let me stop, and smell the roses
Let me slow down and see what You've done,
To bless me each day of my Journey
While living here under the sun.

May You be my First Thought each morning
And my Last, at the end of the day,
Then what occurs in the middle--
I know We can handle Okay!

David~
Oh, what a lovely reminder of just how much I enjoy my 'quiet' times.  They have become a treasure to my soul.
Thank you.

Amen David. Whatever happens...happens. As long as we take a moment to enjoy little blessings along the way. I love this verse and it's message. You teach with each word.
God bless you.

truly inspired, this poem brings to my realization that i myself need to slow down sometimes and actually perceive his goodness around me. many times i may ask, " where are you lord? " when the truth is, i have probably overlooked him in my haste throughout the day. a pearl of thought, this poem is well written and clearly emphasizes
on its theme. i have enjoyed it much.
