Casting all of my.......

Cares
Failures
Pain
Sins
Weights
Hopelessness

All of my.......

Dreams
Hopes
Loves
Pride
Well made plans
Successes

All of my.......

Seconds
Days
Years
Yesterdays
Todays
Tomorrows

I cast them all  into the sea
The sea that forgets all
I CHOOSE to forget
The bad, the good, the ugly!
Everything is what  I cast
So I might be  free to live one day at a time!

So refreshing to feel the cooling waters
At last flowing over my soul
I waited so long....

So dry and so empty I felt
Now I see the torrents coming
The  waves of forgiveness flowing
Only their crushing power  can drive away the past!

I embrace the SEA.....
So powerful to engulf me
With all that I do
All that I have done!!!!
Waves rushing in to help cleanse
To drown what I would want to keep

Nothing remains but the great expanse of it
So clean and  crystal clear
Miraculous and graciously given by the Creator!
I will engulf myself in this SEA!!!!!!!!

I love this one! It reaches deep into the soul and what a refresher it is! This is awesome, I could feel it! Excellent use of imagery.

The sea of love. Beautiful poem and the analogy is perfect. Total surrender. There is no other way!

Illusion,
This is a very lovely poem, and picture you present us with here. Freed from the past
gories & glories to fully experience the Present blessings and challenges of life!
I do cherish many memories of the past- but I can not allow them to be my life present- or I cease to really live--Thanks for the wonderful perspective.   David

(Does you poem have any connection with what Paul said in Phillipians 3:13-14?)
