From The Heavens I Feel A Sprinkle

From the heavens I feel a sprinkle
dust from that which I was made
caress my soul saying be yourself.

As of late I've been lost to know who
I should or even ever could have been
seeing myself wandering up and down.

Seems a darkness has been cast upon
I devour myself in self doubt and criticism
enemy territory all around no safe ground.

Who gave me away to the shadows that lurk
made me not know how to communicate right,
took away my sense of knowing who I used to be?

I'll take the sprinkle and try and build a mountain
one in thanks for a second chance to see myself
the self who is always there when someone needs.

Gloria this touches me. Oh man, last year I was in this very spot. I felt like my world caved in on me.  For a whole year!
Though I've come out of it, the despair part, but I guess I am still searching for what I saw there before and it seems always out of reach!

Hang in there my friend! I shall keep you in my prayers. God hears you, just try and keep fixed on Him!  HUGS

Dear Gloria:
Even Jesus had to go into the desert and be tested in order to be strenthened.  After this time is over you will be stronger and love yourself in a new way. You will have a new level of self acceptance. I know because that's the way He works it out every time!
I've read too many of your poems and I know what a beautiful soul you have. Love, Ellie

LD - "made me not know how to communicate right"...I think you communicate very nicely, not only with this one, but with all of your poetry.  I know exactly how you felt in this one though, and He does take it from us if we let Him.  This is great, thanks for sharing it.   Bonnie

Gloria,
I appreciate your honesty & openness. Yes we do go through some dry spells--at times we do feel like strangers to ourselves and become unsure of our words and our steps.  I believe that often these are times of testing and times to be truly trusting & leaning on our Great Rock of Ages, for stabilitity & shelter from the uneven ways of life.  Keep the faith, Friend- you will be stronger for such experiences.  David

LostDreamer~

Sometimes we do have a tendency to 'forget' that from which we came.  Introspection gives us the opportunity to cleanse ourselves from within and re-build if necessary.

With His love ... all things are possible.
When we turn to Him ... He does not turn away.
