The smallest things
I walk over
Thank you Lord
For the green grass
That cools the tired feet
The soil that bears forth
The brightest hues of spring
The fertile ground of my ancestors
The green wet smell of earth
That gives birth
While we sleep
Close to you I cling
My soul is good
digging in the dirt
Fullfilling mother earth
Inside of me
Planting something
That will live and grow
Makes me know
Even the invisible truth
Will bloom
Even as I will someday
return
To it
As dust

Bid sigh Regina! Missed ya round here!
All I can think of here is a big sigh...and that's a good sigh too

Hey everyone. Been a while. Been outside as you can read. Thanks for all the comments. I've missed yall too. Will take a while to catch up. I'm one of those earth girls that lays like a lizard on a rock or digs to china. Thanks again.
Sincerely
Regina

Oh, so beautiful. I too like to reflect on my ancestors and our land, how it was, then is. Your poem humbled me as I read your words, my prayer too , give me wisdom in truth, show me how and where to plant. I loved this poem. God Bless,Marcy

Very beautiful and I had to sigh (nicely) as has been mentioned before in the replies.

This moved me emotionally and I really needed that right now........
Thank you

the most real thing i posess is that which is unseen. the seed of holiness planted in the garden of life, which was tilled by his holy spirit, that lies in the depths of my soul. if only we could see the invisible.
touching poem. thank you for sharing it.
i enjoyed it tremendously.
