[This is in response to the challenge given in the Challenges forum by dhuron-Elemtental challenge*1]

Who can imagine a fire
Which forever rages on,
Which engulfs eternity
As doomed men last home?

Who can imagine a fire
Which burns, but not consumes,
Which spares not it's victims
Which fall in it's bottomless rooms?

Who can imagine a fire
Which has to light to be shown,
But burns in pertpetual Blackness
The greatest Darkness that can ever be known?

Who can imagine all these things
So unlike fires known by man?
'Tis not just a frightful nightmare-
'Tis Hell-  because GOD CAN!!

(Romans 11:22/II Thessalonians 1:7-8/Hebrews 12:29)

Dear David; Inspirational wakeup call! Truth, clear and to the point. beautifully written too. He went to free those souls today before the resurrection. Thanks, David, for another lesson and truth we all need to hear, and well written in your unique poetic style. Ellie< !signature-->

David,
You so vividly point out that Hell is not just an abstract concept, but an actual place we must assertively avoid! Thanks for the reminder!                 Dennis :^)

David - Another great reminder....your imagery is tremendous....and scary.  A place as this, I don't even want to imagine.  Wonderful poem.  Bonnie

Your questioning style, as Jesus so often used, makes one ponder each lines thought.  Very nicely written, as usual.
Thanks for all your encouraging comments too, and a very happy Easter to you and your lovely wife.
