A LIGHTHOUSE

We're boats on the sea of life
Lost and alone in the long dark night
Groping while hoping we'll be alright
Till a safe harbour's found in dawns light

"I am the way, the light and the life", said Jesus
His light's shown by His ways in us
As belief matures toward total trust
In spite of life's stormy sea thrust

His apostles called Him to awake
Fearing their lives were at stake.
Jesus asked where was their faith
After calming the storm for their sake.

Be a lighthouse on Christ's harbour
For others taking on water.
Stand firm in belief that's mature
Shining His light for each other.

Dear Sandgrain: Wonderful! I love the analogy. This is such an inspiring poem. I love the beach and the sea, so this is really special to me. Ellie

Sand Grain, I have been missing you and your wonderful poems-glad you're back with another great poem to share. Jesus is the Lighthouse in that He lighteth every one that comes into the world(John 1)-He IS the Light of the World--We are called by Him also to be light-houses, as we reflect His Light, The Light of His Word, and live as the Children of light, as His ambassadors, with the Light-giving Ministry of Reconcilliation to those still struggling in Darkness.  Your poem is well based and well
expressed.   Thank You,   David

Amen Sandgrain, Encourage one another! Depending on our walk, where we are at, we are each loved the same by our Lord. We are to love and encourage and support the weaker in faith with love as they mature in their walk.  Loved this poem.  God Bless, Marcy

SandGrain~
Really inspiring.
Let my beacon of His love
shine on others.

'Be a lighthouse on Christ's harbour
For others taking on water.'

Very uplifting.
