Prophetic names of Jesus
Are scattered in God's Book,
As Treasures for the finding--
If we will only look!

He's called the "SEED OF WOMAN"
In Genesis Three: Fifteen,
Even from the world's beginning
His Virgin-Birth is seen.

Also in the same Book
In Chapter 49, Verse 10,
He is referred to as "SHILOH"
Of Judah's tribe, the Sceptred King!

Moses foretold of Him
As the "PROPHET" whom God should send
Who would deliver His Message
See not, ye refuse Him!

Isaiah Chapters Nine and Eleven
Prepictures Him as the "BRANCH",
Proceeding forth from Jesse
The Mighty God and Prince!

In Isaiah 53 it's found
His suffering is foretold,
As the Suffering "SERVANT"
An uncomely sight to behold.

Again in Chapter Seven
And in the 14th Verse,
The name "IMMANUEL"(God With Us)
Is connected with His Special Birth.

Job calls Him, "MY REDEEMER"
And as the "DAYSMAN", too
Needed for interceeding,
To do what we can not do!

Malachi spoke of Him as
"THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS" which brings
To those who fear the LORD's Name
With Healing in His Wings.

"Search the Scriptures," said Jesus
And this is what you'll see,
"Of Eternal Life they mention,
For they Testify of Me!"

David fantastic work again. Scriptual reference too!

Lo I come in the Volume of the Book, for it is written of Me!
There are many names God uses, the Great I Am, also in the acrostic psalms YHVH.
You are blessed my friend!

This is good and very solid!  I love poetic expression which glorifies the Lord, but especially when it is rooted and connected with biblical truth and imagery.  We are in a sense grafted into the olive branch of Judeo-Christian expression in the tradition of the Psalms, and other scriptural expressions.  Though we may write with new styles and vernacular phrases, we maintain the same SPIRIT of our poetic fathers.  I loved this!  Keep up the good work!  Isn't it amazing that Jesus is the the theme of the entire bible, if we only have "ears to hear"?
