APRIL  RAIN

This April day
raindrops fall
like tears from
a mournful sky.

This brings to mind
the tears that I've shed,
and all the pain endured.
The sorrow, the hurts,
the losses so many,
I can't begin to count.

As the rain falls deep
into springs verdant soil,
so my tears fell into
God's Heart.

He uses the rain
to flourish the earth,
that brings forth the
beauteous lush of spring.

So He took my tears
to nourish my soul.
Tears turned into wisdom,
compassion, and love.
His garden within me
forever I'll be.

Ellie, I have thought this after the fact, but never quite like this. It's so very true, it strengthens us. Though most of the time we don't see it until much later.
Beautiful Ellie!

I like the garden Idea.
Had thoughts like that.
very moving.
I'll pull the weeds.
Joel.

I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

ELLIE,
As usual, you make a beautiful analogy and applications of the common experiernces of life- to turn them into extraordinary message of Faith, and Love, and Patience & Hope.  Good Job Friend,   David

Oh Ellie, How you turn the rain into a beautiful sunny warmth.  I love this.  It's raining here now, kind of dark and gloomy, but.... I can see His garden!!!!  Thanks for starting my day with a little sunshine.  Bonnie

PS - Picnic on the dock, sounds like a plan to me.

Oh ellie, I loved the garden as our soul and the tears makes our garden to grow. When I am brought to tears, I always become more humble, which is when we really grow. Thanks for this lovely poem.  God Bless  Marcy

A picturesque writing concerning advancing through adversity.  As WhtDove says, it's often a while after the tears have dried before we realize the silver lining in those rain clouds, but it's so wonderful to learn of the beauty brought forth.  Thank you.

God Bless you Ellie for not being too proud or hardened to cry. It does make the soul grow lovely with time. You have such a beautiful spirit in your writings.

Ellie~
I think of the rain falling as tears of joy ... therefore my garden is
well-nourished.

He takes my tears of sorrow and rains my garden with the tears of joy ...
I pluck for Him a flower of beauty from my soul.

Beautiful thoughts from your pen.

tears flow from our weakness, and in
our weakness he is strong
our strength comes not from ourselves, but from his assurance through our faith we are lifted up.
have you ever watched the rain and marvelled at its glorious nature?
so are we glorified in gods eyes when the floods are loosed in our hearts, in our humility, he exalts us.
great work!
