Will you help to keep me warm?
Asked the lion of the lamb.
It's a long way till the dawn,
and it's cold where I am.
To the King of beast she said,
yes I will be your friend.
Come and lay down by my side,
till the nights cold ends.
The Lion and the Lamb are friends,
friendship starts when time begins,
A lion's share of love to give,
the lion and the lamb are friends.
Then one day the hunters came,
and a trap was laid.
Trying to catch the king of beast,
they used the lamb as bait.
Then they herd a mighty roar,
that shattered the still night,
In rushed the king if beast,
and laid down by her side.
The lion and the lamb are friends,
friendship starts when time begins,
a lion's share of love to give,
the lion and the lamb are friends....

I can visualize this in my mind....very intriguing....the lion will not allow the hunters to take the lamb from him?  Or the lion is "trapped" because they used the lamb for bait? hmmmm...

 God bless you all. :-)

Very well done. Left open for more than one interpretation!

I agree with WhtDove, left open for interpretatons as the lion is a symbol for both good and bad in the Bible.

Sounds like the strength of the lion protecting the friend, a fragil lamb. Very sweet.   Marcy
