Sirens wailin' & horns blarin',
Tires screechin' & people starin'-
Wonder what's up on the other side of town.
Please,Lord, not another friend gunned down.

Findin' it a shame,
Watchin' the news listenin' for names that
May ring bells in my memory tower
Of who I know & knew.

Hands on the clock steady movin',
World's preparin' for the final show,
As I struggle just to keep it groovin'.
Y'all worried about how to sidestep
The so-called doom of the triple zero.
Little do you realize no preparations
Will save you if it's time to go.

God handles mine,
Peace flows like River Divine.
Second sight slowly comin' outta me.
Is it really mine or delusions of grandeur,
Injected in my brain
By angels working for the big Deceptor?
Got me listenin' for secret voices
From up on high,
Holy whispers of His plan for my life.
But I need to be prayin' for clarity & maybe
To even know why.
Silly me, I should know by now.
I'm on His time, not the world's countdown
For me & mine.

Kynder - Ditto everything Ellie said, this is a sad testament to the times we're living in. You have done a terrific job with this. Bonnie

Kynder I  would be honered to take this wonderful poem to the March on Washington DC this Mothers Day. As I am sure you words will touch ones who have lost, as well as all of of us who are sick of living in the wild wild west.. please submit the poem with copyright information and where you are in this world.. email or website info if you like to hear from the ones your words have touched... in any case thank you for sharing your feelings..
Peace,
Tori
