In every heart..in every mind
this common question one will find:
is there beyond this world we see...
a god to whom our eyes are blind?

An ancient question we all pose
and wonder what we should suppose
it is the first inquiry...
the one this poem will expose

Upon this earth we all reside
amidst a silent space so wide
its like a grain thrown in a sea
an outcome we did not decide

The fact is that we do exist...
we didn't choose this nor resist
so how did this life come to pass ?
a thought that surely will persist

Our hearing, sight and intellect
are tools that we should not neglect
in solving this old mystery
on everything we should reflect

The planets swim around their sun
electrons through their orbits run...
they all comply so eagerly
all motions are in unison

Observing life in any form
one see's that it is uniform
this world is run so orderly
an order where all things conform

This world with all its natural laws
and beauty that is free of flaws
perfection one can not dismiss
is chance indeed its only cause??

Through logic one can clearly state..
that chance alone can not create..
the slightest form of discipline
nor organize ..nor formulate

There had to be a conscious will..
that caused this world and runs it still
intelligence so infinite..
which has a purpose to fulfill

Although he's hidden from our eyes
his signs are seen throughout the skies
and on this earth his signs are clear
and in ourselves his signs arise

We see his might in what we fear
his beauty when the stars appear
his wisdom in coherency
his mercy in a mothers' tear

The one eternal entity
the ultimate reality
the origin of origins
the refuge for humanity

He granted us the gift of thought
which other creatures all have not
that we may recognize the truth
and learn the lesson life has taught

Not only reason did he grant
not only signs did he implant
but also sent us messengers
with books of guidance to enchant

Through them he has conveyed his plan
the truth of life ...the role of man
he aided them with miracles..
performing what no mortal can

I end this hoping every word
will focus visions that are blurred
and that the first inquiry
will not continue unanswered

I wrote this poem to invite
the minds of men to see the light
and contemplate upon their lives
and choose a path they feel is right

AK,  I believe that this is the most excellent poetic treatment of this subject that I have ever seen.  The style is constistenly good/ The reasoning is astute yet easily understood/the build up to the tidal wave of conclusiveness is overwhelming.
Thank you for sharing this master work with us! We are most blessed to have you here to share such meaningful works to boost our faith.    David

ArabianKnight~
I find your poem thought-provoking indeed.
I shall undoubtly muse on it for some
time to come.
Nicely put together.
Much to ponder.
Thank you for sharing.
