I'm Sorry ~~~ When the light is gently fading and you've passed out all your prayers The only thought remaining guides your way ~ When you've pulled out all the stitches and its time to get new britches The world that you've created saves the day ~ When you climb the winding stairs and the railing disappears A hand upon your shoulder comes to lay ~ When the steps come to an end tell your story to a friend Feel your worries and your troubles fade away ~ When you pass on through the gate look around to see your fate Think of the others still behind then kneel and pray ~~~ I'm not ugly! I'm just visually challenged! [This message has been edited by Rex Allen McCoy (edited 04-10-2000).] |

Rex; thank you for this lovely poem. We do need to "kneel and pray" for each other. Very inspiring! Ellie 02 |

I see an analogy of the end of life in this poem, I don't know if that is what you intended but I see it. It is very beautiful, a gentle assention to heaven and the passing of this life. Very nice read. |

Rex, This is a beautifully inspiring piece here-but I don't get the connection of the the poem with the title (I must be a little dense)--could you explain it for me? Thank you, David |
