A pair of Goldfinches came to visit today
They came into my yard to play
God sent them to me, that I know
To tell me spring is on the way!

The days grow longer, the air grows warm,
New shoots from the ground are born.
The Robins fly with sticks and straw,
The earth is anew, once more reborn.

The children laugh and play with mirth,
Spring is the time of hope and rebirth.
And like the goldfinches that visited today,
I'm glad to see spring is on its way!

With the snow here this morning, I'm glad to know it too.....This was encouraging and uplifting....Such a sweet poem. Thanks for sharing it.

The sings of Spring are so wonderful to behold anew after the winters deadness--here where I live, we look forward with much antipation to the return of the Humming birds.  Thank you Deb, for your lovely picture of Spring.
