Radiant beams warming the earth,
Oh, what a glorious day,
Laughter of children filling the air
As they watch the squirrels at play.
Robins are busy building their nests,
While blue jays are hoarding the food,
A cardinal couple is taking a bath,
Before going home to their brood.
Two little rabbits are standing guard,
Protecting the treat they have found,
Fresh turnip greens just sprouting up
Through the finally frost free ground.
Oh Lord, the yard is a masterpiece,
Magnificence blooms from Your touch,
A kaleidoscope of rainbows blossom,
From the primrose and lilies and such.
Your presence is surely out there today,
Your grace reflects in my eyes,
As I see this majestic landscape,
Against the backdrop of Your blue skies.
My soul has been refreshed once more,
As nature bursts forth outside
Thank you Lord for this wonderous sight,
Where there is truly nothing to hide.
