Time passed
And the food was nearly gone
When
Jacob said to his sons
"You need to go back to Egypt
To buy us some more food."

Judah, another one of his sons, said
"Father, the man warned us
You will not see my face again
Unless your brother Benjamin is with you.

If you send Benjamin with us
We will go"
Jacob lamented again
"Why did you bring this trouble on me by
Telling the man you had another brother?"

"Father, we simply answered his questions
How were we to know, he would say
Bring your brother down here?"

Then Judah pleaded
Send the boy along with me
We must go at once
That you and our children may live
And not die.
I will personally guarantee his safety
If I do not bring him back to you
I will bear the blame the rest of my life.

Thus another son had pledged responsibilty
For a life.
