The other day while
strolling along,
I heard someone snoring
under a nearby tree.
I went to investigate.
It was a very small Angel,
dressed quite odd
and wearing sneakers,
of all things.

I had managed to startle him,
and he jumped to his feet.
I said " you look exhausted".
"Oh, believe me I am".
He replied.
"You see I'm the Guardian
Angel of David White.

If he got himself up
to mischief
that I could handle.
But instead he's a whilwind
of doing Gods' Will.

If he's not writing endlessly
his glorious poems,
he's on the computer, both
day and night.
Then I race off to his job.
Then home to get ready
for his ministry.
There are sermons to write,
and his flock to comfort.

Back home again
to his lovely wife
who he lavishes with
love and concern.
Then all his endless
friendships,
that he maintains with
loving attention.

As you see now
why I'm so tired.
I feel like the angel
of 10,
and I'm only the Angel
of one.

I've put a request
into heaven,
to send more angels
to help,
and they'll all need
sneakers too,
if they plan to keep
up with,
this wonderful man
of God!
