I asked the Lord to heal
my heart.
He answered me in a
surprising way!

I saw a very clear picture
in my minds eye,
of Jesus sitting on a large
bolder,
with a sneaker in His lap,
another on the ground.
His head bent in concentration,
I heard Him say to me:
"See the sneaker on the ground?
The laces knotted to the very
end?
That was your soul before
you surrendered to Me.
Now see the one in my lap,
half the laces free?
Look how carefully I'm working,
on the next knot in turn.
So be patient, little one,
My timing is perfect
in every way.
My Love sets you free"!

As the mother of six, this was
His way, that He knew I'd understand.

Hi ellie, Great! I can visual Jesus in my minds eye as He speaks to you (and us) with
the sneaker. What a wonderful understanding
God has blessed you with.  Marcy

Wow, Ellie. You have true insight when you envision wisdom in a sneaker. The smallest things in the world, and most mundane, sometimes hold keys to the universe. I love this so much. Thank you for sharing this. And thanks for all your gentle and wonderful words of praise. You're in my prayers too.
Love Regina

Isn't it wonderful how God often speaks to us through the things that surround us?  It was his method to men in Palestine who knew fishing, planting, vineyards, etc...  Thankyou for sharing this.  It was encouraging to me since I see myself as a "half unknotted" sneaker.  Sometimes I wonder as to why I'm not all the way untangled and free and perhaps let discouragement rise up.  But I must remember that "He who began a good work...will finish it unto the day of Christ Jesus".  Thankyou again!

Ellie such a simple message, but so clear in it's meaning.  This is, how can I put this, brings a calming affect, makes one stop and think.  Whoda thunk, a sneaker could bring a message like this?  Thanks, love ya

How many lessons can be learned
If our minds are heaven turned,
E'n the simple things of our day,
Can be used of God-something to say!!!

ELLIE,Thank you for the lovely parable, of tender care & understanding, illustrated in a simple yet effective way!  David
