Of Your love and guidance
The word rock
Comes to mind
A thing of beauty
Maybe not
But the scripture speaks
Of miracles
And gives meaning
To the rock
Rock..Solid in faith
Build your house upon it
Be thee steadfast as a Rock

Petrified minerals
As old as time
As Solid as your name
A body of matter
That is stable and firm
Like your church
Dependable as your promise
To move back and forth
To sway, only as a babe
In a mother's arms
Poetry in motion
As deliberate
As the day
The stone rolled away
