Dark clouds gathering in the sky,
Another dismal day,
Thunder whispering in the distance,
Rolling slowly across the bay.

Crystal drops of a gentle rain,
Tapping lightly at the glass,
Lightning streaks in broken shards,
Winds picking up as they pass.

So many days of this journey,
Spent trying to weather this storm,
It wasn't until I finally fell,
That I at last began to feel warm.

Lying there on that carpet of green,
Looking up to see Your face,
You reached out and gently gathered me up,
I could no longer keep up that pace.

It was time that I saw the sunbeams,
Dancing gaily on the dew,
Time for me to smile again,
To start this life anew.

Your delicate light lifted me,
Your hand guided the way,
I laughed from the tickle of angels wings
And let go of the harsh, bitter day.

Now when I am troubled,
You're there, although unseen,
Every minute of my life,
And every moment in between.

And wisps of clouds float in the sky,
This day is a beautiful gift,
Delicate sounds of happiness,
My life no longer adrift.
