Traveler I

traveler I,
    feet n’er touching ground
        lost,
            yet n’er found
            though foundering
                    I’m lost
traveler I,
    feet running wild away
        lost,
            n’er to sieze these days
            yet e’er the daze
                    sieze I
traveler I,
    feet chasing time-charred dreams
        lost,
            sewn into lightless seams
            though n’er seeming
                    darkened
traveler I,
    feet trod o’er chosen paths
        lost,
in fear to face His wrath
            than to rather choose
                    His way
traveler I,
    feet traipsing
       o’er
          baptized soil
    lost,
      away on a
          spiritual journey’s
                 path…
        one,
          which many
   would consciously purchase,
        one,
   which I disdain…
      cheapening its fervor
           I walk jaded green-
                      cynical envy,
            of those who
                 n’er question… faith
traveler I,
    feet n’er touching ground
        lost…

Dear Christopher; You poem is so well written. I hear you message of searching and I've been there. It's a fearful place to be. I made my choice to surrender to God. It was a terrifying moment, but I've only known peace and joy and love ever since. It's your own personal choice to make. My prayers are with you.  Love, Ellie

First of all, I like your signature.
Secondly, I think we all have a bit of nomadic blood in us...we are all traveling and searching for that something that brings us true peace inside.  I try to think of it like this...if I were content with everything going on in my life, how dull that would be.  LOL  We should always strive for something more, something better, something higher.  It's when people get tired, and they give up and sit down, that they "die" inside.  Look at the elderly in the nursing homes, and you'll know what I mean.  As long as they keep kicking, they live.  When they give up and sit down, they die.  Don't ever give up, and please, keep searching!  You will one day find what you're looking for.  We all will.  I have faith in you!      -pFF

Dear Christopher, A well traveled road by all at some point or another. As Ellie said, your path is a very personal decision, and we hope that we can share some peaceful experiences with you here. Might help you linger a while, and feel a little less lost. You words are so very skillfully done. Keep writing and sharing.
Sincerely,
Rwood

Lost
like a insect in a spiders web
           no escape in sight
Lost
like a puppy taken from it's mom
            whimpering in sadness
Lost
like a bee whose hive's been destroyed
            no queen to serve
Lost
like a homeless person needing food
             yet to proud to beg
Lost
like a blind person reaching a dead end
             senses but cannot see

Lost
like a child in the woods alone
              fearing silence
Lost
like a wise old man and his money
               rocking alone forever
Lost
like a soul in a self made prison
                locked within own barriers
Lost
like a wandering sheep in a forest
waiting for the shepard to herd

Dear Christopher,
Wonderful poem written from the heart.
It is some times hard to make the choose to follow the Lord. Especially when others around you don't. I couldn't for over forty years of my life, it is a long time to wait.
But always remember that the Lord is always there, turn to him and he will take your hand and lead you. May He keep you in His hands forever. Keep on writing.

Hey Chris! You've finally decided to bless us with your presence and your wonderful poetry    No matter how long it takes Chris, He'll be there.  Time is nothing for Him, but we only have a short time.
I pray you find your way buddy! It would be the happiest day of my life, your life, and a wonderful day to God.

There always seemed to be an emptiness that I searched for others to fill. Love I think was that emptiness, or lack thereof. I had a void and looked for it in all attention. I have to say that void, though from my own lack and backsliding comes back now and again, but for the most part was filled, when I let God into my life and decided to follow Him.

Love ya bud, and many hugs!
