I have often been comforted and encouraged by the verse I share with you.

Romans 8:28 And we know all things work together for good to them that love GOD, to them who are called according to his purpose.

Sweet and precious promises,
Found in the Bible pages,
Brings comfort, peace and joy,
To believers through all ages!

God can take the worst situation,
And turn it right around,
Turn curses into blessings,
If my faith in him is found!

I don't always understand it,
Why things happen as they do,
But if I can weather the storm,
I know He'll see me through!

I was called for His purpose,
He created me for His own joy,
If I faithfully tust and serve Him,
His will is my constant employ!

I know that He is faithful,
To Him I must be true,
He'll meet my every need,
And my soul He will renew!

All Things work together for good,
I must let JESUS lead the way,
To bring me out of lifes shadows,
To a bright Eternal Day!

My this scripture bless you as it has blessed me.

Dennis,
Great poem!  What an incredible revelation that came to Paul (and to us) that even the evil tidings of life will in the end work for ultimate good and purpose in the Father's plan (if we love him and are called).  I don't understand it but I believe it.  Isn't it awesome that God though not responsible for evil and suffering, turns them into his very handmaidens for a time.  I think at the end of the age he will discard suffering like a worn out rag and say "there I'm through with you for your purpose is done with".  God is no "glutton for punishment, even in the life of Christ, the Cross was "dying unto sin once" yet "living unto God (continually)".  Praise the name of our Great God.
