To pick a favorite passage
At the exclusion of all the rest,
For me is a difficult decision
For by so many, I have been blest.
But for the sake of the challenge
I've one I feel that's Great
And helps fill me with Confidence
It's found in ROMANS EIGHT.
Beginning there at verse 31
And running to this chapter's end,
Let me share these uplifting words
And bless you today, my dear friends.

What shall we say, 'bout our Blessings Divine
Why should there be so much fuss?
If God Almighty is on our side
Who can, in this world, stop us?

Of this we can truly be assured
And because of this my heart just sings,
If God let Christ Die on the cross for us all
Through Him, will He not give us All things?

We need not worry about the charges men make
If as God's Elect, we abide,
It is His Approval we seek above all,
By God we are Justified.

And who has the power, us to condemn
Overriding Christ's victory and place?
He is Risen, at God's Right Hand resides
Interceeding for us by His Grace.

Who shall separate us from the Savior's Love
Tho' many would try to disgrace,
Trouble,hardships,lackings, life threats
Can ne'er us in His Love displace!

For lo, it is written,For His sake we are slain
Daily accounted as slaughter house sheep,
But in these things we're conquerors supreme
He in Love, us, securely keeps.

This being so,convinced with all my heart
There is nothing more Powerful than Him,
Whate'er entities raise up their foul heads
To weakness, their strength will be dimmed.

Whether of Death, or the dangers of Life
Of Mighty Angels and Powers that be,
Whether the threat is for the future or now
Through my Lord, they won't overcome me!

For height nor depth, nor created things
Shall be able to cut Love's strong cord,
And seperate us from the Love of God
Which is found in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

AMEN & AMEN

David, this is so inspiring, it covers God's provision, His guidance and His protection for us, all wrapped up in His Love!  Excellent choice to share with us, Oh Challlenge Leader! Thank you, Dennis :^)

One question, WHY the road kill icon at the top of this piece?

Thank you Ellie-I can always count on you for encouraging me in my efforts, God Bless You!

And Dear Brother, That is not just any road kill--look at it closely, and you will see that it is an Icon illustating our victory over satan himself, and in connection with this poem I felt that it was Most fitting--Thanks for asking, and thanks for the nice comment you made. Love ya'

David, I know wthat you mean by trying to pick just one. It's hard to do.  I love the book of Roman's, and I think you've done a fantastic job with this verse.  You sure are gifted putting verse into poetry!
