Lying in the soft clover
Looking up at the wonderous clouds
I was a tiny little nothing, to the world

I dreamed of flying and soaring
Over skies of ancient ruins
Over lands that time forgot

My imagination lingered
I was the pilot of day dreams
My attention ever wandering out the window

Small seeds were planted
In my daily life, in my heart
The Bible, and Jesus Christ

And a certain passage took my breath
That made me whole
That made my dreams a reality

One that amazed and conquered
My childish ways
Delivering me upwards in enlightenment

One that, in it's truth
In surrendering and faith
Would defy worldly nature

And make all things lie waste
Compared to his Promise and Love
Glory to me, defined

They that wait upon the Lord
Shall renew their strength
They shall mount up with wings as eagles

And soar

Dear R; OOOOOOh! I love this poem and that is one of my favorite scriptures. Did you ever hear the song "On eagles wings"? It's the whole scripture set to music, almost as lovely as your poem, but not as lovely as you. Love, Ellie

O How Lovely,  It's nice to know that Isaiah
40:31 is a favorite of yours_ I think that says alot about you personally!  And you did a wonderful job of introducing it to us, and showing how it came to be instilled in you.  WELL DONE, my friend- thank tou for taking the challenge and sharing with us in this wonderful way,   David

RWOOD, what a beautiful expression of faith you have crafted here, pointing to the ONE who can truely allow us to soar, by His abundant Grace and Love! Well Done! Dennis :^)

RWOOD,

I really enjoyed this.  especially the transcendent imagery (clouds, ruins, soaring)
and how it was all metaphorical of spiritual truth and God's word.  By the way, I appreciate your response to my "Sparrows Also Dream".   Keep up the good writing to the Glory of God.
