The sky a picturesque masterpiece,
Of soft peach and lavender hues,
Dark clouds that signal twilight,
Replacing the summer's sky-blues.

With nothing more than a shiver,
The waves tiptoe into the shore,
Disturbing but few little grains of sand,
As it calmly slips into the moor.

On the hill above a Guardian stands,
A sentinel of the night,
As daylight turns to darkness,
He slowly brings forth his new light.

A signal of refuge, this beacon,
Whether on still or stormy seas,
And the keeper of this lighthouse,
Will forever hear our pleas.

Intermingled with clouds and sunsets,
I see God's outstretched arms,
The warmth of His light replacing,
The chill left by this life's harms.

No more need to hide in the shadows,
For the light of the world does shine,
In the heart of every person on earth,
Will at last be peace.....divine.

Bonnie,
You've painted a beautifully pictorial poem showing God and His lighthouse of Love to guide us safely through the treacherous Waters of Life--a Beautiful picture & poem indeed.  Thank you, David
