A brilliantly colored monarch
Perched upon a dew kissed rose,
Flying off in such a gentle way,
Lifting spirits as she goes.

Against the sky-blue backdrop,
Of a perfect summer's day,
Is there anything more beautiful,
Than a monarch winging away?

As you look in the gardens and see them,
Can you for a moment not believe,
The beauty that God has created,
As you watch them whirl and weave.

They're a palette of glorious color,
Each wing an identical twin,
Floating along with no effort at all,
Just watching them makes your heart grin.

These magnificent little creatures,
Who flit from rose to weed,
With their lacy, delicate, powdered wings
A smile from God, indeed.

HELP
My Mother-in-law asked me to write a poem about butterflies for her for an Eastern Star Meeting any changes or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated....Thanks

Dearest Bonnie; WOW! You do not need any help. This is so perfect! I'm sure she will love it. While I was reading it, I felt like I was right there in that garden. The imagery you created is magnificent. Love, Ellie

Yes I think we are in total agreement here, she could do no better than this lovely poem-for you've well captured the beauty of this wonderful creation of God, and given Him the credit for His artistry and contribution to our lives.  A beautiful offing here of which anyone should be proud & delighted.
YOU DID GOOD!! Now go share it,
Love,   David

Aren't Butterflies beautiful?
I have always been a little enchanted with them.  They are evidence of God's intricacy
and gentle mastery in creation.  How could an Atheist see such a wonder and say that it came from a mere conglomerate of hydrogen gases billions of years ago?  How calloused and thoughtless.  If beauty cannot reach their hearts surely Gods thunderclaps will. Anyway I loved the poem and thought it was tastefully crafted.  I wrote a short little poem about butterflies once, I will post it and share it with you.  It's called "Of Butterflies".  It's not that great, but has a modest charm I think.   Keep up the good work!

Bonnie - go with what you have here, it's more than exceptionally perfect! Stephen - I full agree - God's creation is much too beautiful and intricate to have arisen from gasses etc.. i find it hard to believe that i once thought that!  Bonnie your poem always make me smile, God bless you sweetie.
