((This is based on 2 Corinthians 4:5-10, but I have also incorporated other scriptural thoughts which I beleive to be within it's context))

The Knowledge of the Glory of God
Is found in Jesus Face,
Whom in the Gospel we do see
And through it, find His Grace.

It is a most Precious Treasure
Giv'n to the Clay Pots of men,
That with this Strength, in weakness
Our Power is seen in Him.

And because of the Power we're given
Tho' easy our path may not be,
Herein lies our protection
And gives us the Victory!

We are Hard Pressed on every side
In life's hustle and bustle we're rushed,
But by Faith's protective shield
Through Him we will not be Crushed.

In this world is much Perplexity
Questions and Doubts fill the air,
But if we are filled with Your Spirit
We won't be brought down by Dispair!

And for Thee we face Persecution
Promised for godly lives, in the making,
But tho' cast off by all the world
We know, us, You won't be Forsaking!

And many times we're Struck Down
Weakness by sin employeed,
But You reach down in forgiveness
That we need not be Destoyed.

We wear in our flesh the Battle scars
As in Your great Death we share,
That also Your Life & Goodness
May be shown and felt everywhere.

Thus in Earthen Vessels
The Gospel's Treasure we store,
Sharing with, but unshattered by the world
Backed by Your Grace, Galore!
