He woke the sun in labor
As he made his way down the beaten path
Today, was a great day

There was spring in his step
His prayers were said, early
By the dim light, of his antique lamp

He approached the gate, worn
Needing paint, the hinges rusted
He would fix it, as soon as he could

He trod upwards in the cool air
His breath led him in white puffs
Silently guiding him forward

To the black sillouette on the hill
Of seasoned wood, and sagging tin
The barn had seen better days

He pulled the tools of his labor
From the walls of gray slats
And trodded back down, along the path

The plot of ground, still moist from dew
Made his task a little easier
As he began to hoe with skill

This, he did for hours
Nonstop in perfect rows
Thanking God, for this piece of ground

As the sun began to burn hot
And sweat poured from his body
He ceased, for just a moment

To wipe his face with his handkerchief
And a sound, startled his mind
Of beating hooves from behind

He quickly turned, and nothing was there
But the sound of a trumpet, blasted the air
And the clouds parted

They rolled, in great billows
And a horse appeared in the heavens
Devastatingly giant in size

He turned, and dropped his tool
And he nervously looked in awe, towards the barn
And in its place, a glorious mansion stood

His trembling stopped immediately
His faith, now took hold
He bathed for just a moment, in the glory

And he walked the path known to him
All the days of his life
Back towards the garden gate

Only this time, the rust replaced
By gleaming gold, latched with the brilliance
Of diamonds and pearls

Tears of joy poured from his eyes
He made his way, quickly
He did not falter in his step

Praising the Lord, at the top of his voice
His days of hard work
He knew, were over

As the world fell away around him
And he reaped, what he had sown
In a split second
He entered the garden gate, forever more

RWOOD,
I am totally awed by this one --it is a suprerb portrayal graphically illustrated of the divine principle of reaping in due season, if we faint not!  Wonderful--a true blessing to me!   Thank you so much, David
