Elizabeth left this world still smiling, still loving, still comforting, Us.
Elizabeth was my Mother-In-Law, but not your average one by any means. She was my Mom, my best friend and grandmother to my children. When
cancer over took her body, she still smiled. She still trudged on. We all loved her dearly and miss her deeply everyday. I know she is at peace now and still remains watching over us. I love
you Mom and know that you are here with me....

A spirit floats around the room.
Her softly spoken whisper heard.
Over and over in my head.
I know that she is here with me
although no one else can see.

Ever since she left this world,
and crossed the medium.
I have missed her deeply.
Yet I have comforted in the knowledge
that her loving spirit stays by my side.
A silent present guide.

I whisper silently to her
words that I know only she can hear.
“Please Mom take my hand
and lead me on my walk today.”
“I am so lost and full of uncertainty
without your loving guide.”

“Your love,
your thoughts,
your tenderness
always kept me sane.”
“What am I to do without your nudging
and loving presence
in my every day?”

As I reflect upon my life
and speak with her.
I hear her answers whispered
within my mind.
(I answer)
“Yes Mom I believe in God.”

The answer lays before me she says
I just have to believe in faith
and God shall shine his light
upon the path

As long as I believe she says
He and she shall stand by my side
each and every day.

How wonderously certian ones touch our lives in a special way--and have a lasting influence on us which can not be denied.  Your poem is a wonderful tribute to such a one in your life--what divine blessings they can be-another means of showing God's goodness to us.  I would say you are very blessed,   David

This is so close to my heart today. Ken also wrote of his Mother-in-law. Aren't we blessed to have known and experienced God's love through someone here with us, even for a little while. Thank you so much for sharing this. God bless you Kim
Sincerely,
Rwood
