As I walk along the mossy bank,
Sunshine filtering through the shade,
I notice the beauty of this place,
The wonders in this little glade.
The silence is overwhelming,
A small brook just babbling along,
And little, fledgling baby birds,
Singing their new found song.
I look down and there's a flower,
A beautiful miniature rose,
How it got here is a mystery,
Yet without much sun, it grows.
Hardy ferns surround the trunks
Of the old and gnarly pines,
Delicate blossoms of morning glories,
Reaching out from their sturdy vines.
This must be a place where Angels go,
Leaving - serenity behind,
A picture perfect sanctuary,
Where it's only peace we find.
And if you listen closely,
You can hear the angels sing,
And you'll know those subtle breezes,
Are wisps from their feathery wings.
Walking back along the banks,
I can't wait till my next journey here,
This place where burdens are lifted,
Where He has taken away all fear.

This is so beautiful, every line creates a vision of this lovely place. This belongs on a web page somewhere, or in a frame or a book. It is really, really beautiful.

Dear Bonnie Church(a lovely name indeed),
I love your poem with it's perfect rhyme and its flowing scenes of such a blissful haven, I could see why angels would want to congregate there. You have really put this one together.  It's just Lovely, thanks for taking us on a visit to this special place.
  Love,  David
