This is a poem written by my son that i though you might like

When bad things would happen i would shake my fist
Tell you i hate you and that you didnt exist
Then during good times i would apologize and pray once more
Thank you so much for waiting so i could mature
For staying there as i learned to realize
That i was always there in your eyes
You gave me many gifts, died so i could live
Took your punishment and still had heart to forgive
For these things i thank you on bended knee
And now i pray with closed eyes and cleary see

Writing ability seems to run in the family, Ellie! This is great!

Sure does run in the family! This was excellent!  I've many a time thanked Him for not giving up...we seem to fall short so very often. This touched me! Thanks for sharing!

I hope he has more to share with us?

Thank you Ellie for sharing this one, and thank your son too.  Yes, the poetic spirit and faith runs in this family.  I see he espresses it in his own way and style, also reflecting that we must each seek our own personal faith and identity in the Lord, though inspired by many others.
     God bless you both,   David

This so very nicely written and shows alot of maturity in the faith. You must encourage him to write more.

This is the greatest gift knowing that your son seeks to follow the Lord. This is so inspiring to us mothers out here with the Child/man in the wings. Thank you for posting this and I hope there is more.
Sincerely,
Rwood
