Sitting here this morning,
Watching the sunbeams gaily dance,
With every color of the spectrum,
So thankful for this chance,
To see the first little daffodil,
The robins again in the yard,
New life is sprouting forth today,
And although my troubles are hard,
They'll be forced into the shadows,
I'll not answer their woeful call,
I'm going to play in the garden,
Pretending I've no cares at all.
I'll pull the ugly, thorny weeds,
Cut back the lavender and such,
Get ready to see the wonders,
Of Your loving, gentle touch.
It won't be long I'll see a flower,
Perhaps a pansy or a rose,
And I'll watch with awesome wonder,
As each blossom slowly grows,
And everyday, a new miracle,
Be it hollyhocks or sage,
Or hummingbirds gathering nectar,
Each day a brand new page,
In this book of life, its springtime,
Time for life and for re-birth
Time to celebrate what You've given me,
At last, I know my worth.

Bonnie, working in the garden is a miracle cure, isn't it? You have captured springtime
in a beautiful poem, and I too, liked the line,"each day a page, in the book of life".
God Bless and thanks for your kind words to me also.    Alle' aka Marcy

So enthusiastic and wonderfully written. I don't have a green thumb. I think flowers run when they see me coming HA.They leave nothing but dirt in their tracks! I look at my neighbor's from afar! Isn't it great how God shines through everything beautiful.
So magical!
Sincerely,
Rwood

Bonnie,
The Springtime beauties of this world coming alive, being contrasted by a cold dead winter which preceeded it, is surely given to us as an object lesson of what God can and wants to do for those dead in sin and those dead to sin- reckoning ourselves dead to sin so that we come alive in the spirit possessing the beauty of Holiness.
Your poem captured well-the message as wellas the enticing beauties of the Spring.
Thank you & God Bless you,   David

Ya know, this just made me smile from the inside out! A certain bubbling affect from within.  You describe it so well...God it just brings your soul alive!
