Why am I so impatient,
When the car in front drives slow?
My concern should be driving safely,
No how fast that others should go!

Why am I so insensitive,
To the obvious needs of another?
I oft' just turn my head,
Than respond to help a brother!

Why am I slow, lethargic,
In telling of your wonderful Glory,
To a lost and dying world,
Who need to hear the Gospel story?

Why are You so tenderly patient,
With one as unworthy as me?
Your Mercies are renewed Daily,
And I'm blessed so bountifully!

Lord ,I humble my spirit,
And submit to Your excellent ways,
That I may become more like Jesus,
Honoring You, the rest of my days.

Amen and Amen! Lord, I too lift this prayer up to You also.
Dennis, what a humble, loving prayer. I said the words aloud to the Lord as this is my desire too.
God Bless

Thank you Dennis,
For the humbling thoughts of this humble and submissive (Psalm for modern times) Why indeed do we get so impatient with others?  Why are we so easily lifted up in pride?  Your poem & prayer are well received here! God bless you!  David

Dear Dennis; beautiful Psalm! "Be patient with me, God isn't finished with me yet". We all need His Grace for one thing or another.
Thank you. Ellie< !signature-->

Dennis...I loved this so much. Your surrendering and honesty is so valuable to me. That sense of worthlessness is just a way of saying how much you feel for the Lord. This is priceless!
Sincerely,
Rwood

Thank for your support!  It is only when we humble ourselves that He can be truely Exalted and we will also be blest!

I am weak and He is strong.  Your wording brought our weakness to light as well as His boundless grace in a splendid way.  Thank you.
