His perfect love is nothing like a sonnet.
It doesn’t follow meter, structure,rhyme.
It has no boundry, space, or borders - yet
His love is greater than the end of time.
So why would he love somebody like me?
Someone who harbors hatred, fear and lust?
Why take his time? Why in the world would he?
Or, perhaps I'm only dreaming? Well just
As others talk of people that they know
I'll tell you my experience with him:
He gives me comfort in my times of sorrow
He inspires me. He's become my friend.
His love is a kite that can soar and glide
One tug will lift up your spirit inside.

WELCOME to Spiritual!  You're so right, when we let him in, he can make our spirit soar.
Would He want to love someone like you? Me? anyone? YES! We are all his children, everyone of us. As a "parent," He sees his children like we do, we are not always happy with what they do, BUT we always love them, always are willing to forgive them.

Hope to see more!

This is a lovely poem. We all feel like that at times, so unworthy of His love. Then we have to remind ourselves, that is why He died, so that we may live. Beautifully written.

Dear bboog; This is a beautifully written sonnet. I've only written one, and I know how tedious it can be. Your message is timeless, and know that God loves your childlike humility. We are all worthy by virtue of His Grace. He has no favorites.
Welcome and keep that gift of yours coming here on this wonderful forum. Love, Ellie

WoW! Your first Sonnet- and you have done so well, conveying a wonderful message!  You are to be commended for the effort, it seems to have hit the target well.  God bless you, David

Thank you bboog but I must disagree with you.  The credit is all yours.  I offered a few suggestions to fine tune this but your sonnet was remarkably well written, especially considering this is one of your first.  Good job with this.

This is very inspiring, bboog! The sonnet is one of my favorites, too! They are so fun to write once you get the hang of it! This one is good! As is the message within it!
