This is off topic,
...that I know;
But how do I get
...my folder to close?

The flapping folder
...opens and shuts,
drawing attention
...I dislike so much.

If my flapping folder
needs a second poem
... from me,
I submitt this one
... gleefully;

I love the Lord
and He loves me.
Now, will the folder,
please close for me?

Dear Alle,cram; I have very, very bad news for you! That folder will never close, ever, ever! It is flapping because it's your first post. Years from now you can go back and it will still be flapping. Your only hope is when your poem goes off this current page to day two. Now do not have nightmares about flapping folders. Just put it out of your mind.    love and laughter, Ellie

Awww, don't let it drive you insane! haha
Actually that's part of our new software, so we can tell when a new poet comes on. Because in open things are so fast moving that it's hard to catch them sometimes, and it just helps to capture our attention!   So only that folder will open and close, and no others will. Soon it will float to the pages beyond and you won't have to see it anymore unless of course someone pulls it up, or you choose to go back and look at it!

Dear Alle'cram; I hope you took my reply as just a tongue in cheek silliness. I hope that I didn't hurt your feelings in anyway.
The poem was so well written, and it also hit my funny bone. Did you mean it to be funny? I'm sure glad that you have joined us here Alle, and I'm looking forward to more of your poetry.  Love, Ellie

Dear Sweet Ellie, I took your post exactly as you intended, in fun. Your heart is so sweet how could you possible have meant it any other way. I love reading your poetry, along with ALL the group. When I get my courage up, I will kick in gear, joining all with praising the Lord in poetry post. I have so much to testify about, just can't seem to get it to rhyme, just waiting on the Lord to give me the words, I guess. Just had the Lord remove a suspect tumor from my body, this year!! How do you put that down? He just removed the whole thing. Praise His Holy Name.  Alle AKA Marcella (Marcy);Allecram, spelled backwards!

Marcy if you would like to contact a moderator there are two links at left, top of the page, with my name and Michael's name on it, just click one of the links and you can email us.  OR, where you see my post or reply, there is a yellow envelope, that is email, or the flower, that is my icq. I can be reached by either one

I don't know how you meant it's only flapping to you, but that one particular folder flaps, and everyone can see it. That will ONLY happen on the very first post you make and that's it. So if you happen to see a flapping folder on someone in this forum, then they are new, and that is their first post to the forum, or the first post they made to the forum. Actually I think it's kind of neat to let us know the person joining us is new.  Also to be able to go back to that first post many months from now and see what you wrote.

If you need any more help or if I've confused you, about email and such, let me know.

By the way, if you can't put what you want to say in rhyme verse, then try free verse. That doesn't need to rhyme.  Prose is also allowed in here, that is just story form.  So feel free anyway you'd like to put it!

Aw, shucks, I hoped you'd think that flapping folder meant you have to post more and more!  Cute ditty about it gave me a real chuckle.

Dear Alle; Thank you for your reply . I didn't think anyone would pick-up on what "these rooms" meant, I'm glad you did. There I learned to recover from a difficult childhood. I will keep your son in my prayers. Much love, Ellie
