I can't remember a moment,
or a specific day, or hour,
when the darkness dissipated,
     and vanished.
  I can remember praying,
    without ceasing,
that He would set me free.
  His healing touch is
        so gentle.
  His timing, so perfect.
The filling of His Spirit,
        so gradual,
that now, I live where He
         lives,
      in this moment.
Have learned to stay, only,
  in the moment of Grace.
      Past and future,
     secure in His care.
     Savoring this time,
  that I am enfolded, and
         filled,
with His all embracing Love.

Dear Ellie, we need not pinpoint God's working in our life- of much of it we are not even aware-- but we need to see the results, acknowledge his favor, and live in His sunshine--You poem here says it very well.  Thank you, Dear Ellie---David

Ellie I can't tell you how much this brings me happiness. The ultimate place of peace and security. You are so solidly bound to him. Amen!

Ellie - I love how your words bring me back to the here and now...keeping me focused on where I need to be, sometimes I lose track of that....You and your poems give so much, and I thank you for sharing your heart.  Bonnie

Ellie how true, how we need to be secure in the here and now. He has our future in HIS hands, you've decribed well!

Ellie, this poem tells me the kind of person you are my friend. I had to show it to my husband. This poem is a reflection of your spirit, a spirit of love and humility, a reflection of our Saviour. Talk to you soon.

Oh ellie those last 8 lines!  I loved this, it really encouraged me to think of today, to focus on his grace and leave both past and future in his hands.  This was written so beautifully too!  Thank you my friend.

Oh the freedom of niether living in past hurts or burdened by unknown tomorrows, so delightfully felt through your lines!  Thank you for sharing this and for all the kind comments you've encouraged me with.  Bless you.
