Greatest Gift of All

Oh', the love of Jesus,
secure within His arms,
The price He paid to save our souls,
No greater love than He.

Thank you Lord
for this, Your gift,
For all that will receive,
Jesus paid the price for life,
at the cross called Calvary.

The stripes You took, for all our pain,
You tell us tenderly,
bring your sufferings, walk in faith
For all the world to see.

Give us wisdom to understand,
the fullness of the Cross;
For by these strips we may be healed
I witness now for Thee.

Thank you Father, up above,
The greatest gift of all,
You sent Your Son, our Savior,
as Jesus, paid it all.

Well Alle'cram i'm already hanging out to read your next poem - this was fabulous! (you start to run out of inventive adjectives after a while so fabulous is only one word to describe it) This reminds me of my baptism just over a year ago, i finished my little thank you speech by thanking God, just as you did in poem of gratitude, for giving me the greatest gift of all, Christ Jesus, our Saviour. You did this so well! And a huge W E L C O M E to you too my dear.
