Oh Lord I have come to You - so many days
And You have lightened my load in so many ways.
First by showing the Serenity Prayer-
To accept, what I couldn't change out there.
Then you gave me Courage, and advice that I heeded
As I made the changes, I so desperately needed.
It's the Wisdom that I keep praying for now,
When I'm not sure what I can change...or how?

You have given me strength to get through each test,
I feel certain someday you will give me the rest,
Of the answers I need to live as intended,
To make sure I can help all those fences be mended.
To be able to climb every mountain with ease,
Unafraid to ever fall on my knees,
And ask for strength, when my legs are weak
And find compassion, when it's comfort I seek.
All this and more Lord, I know You will give
And I know it's for You, this life I live.

What a beautiful prayer!  The open spirit and humbleness are so evident in your writing.  Many prayers seem unanswered due to that lack.

BSC, lovely and humbling you take your prayer before God. Your wisdom will come
because it is a gift and you have asked.
Keep praying and keep writing for  all
to enjoy.
God Bless

BSC, Your poem and prayer are beautiful.  There are a lot of thing that we may deem as beautiful in this life-  but I think, that there is nothing more beautiful than a humble, truly surrendered life to God's will and care.  God bless you,  David

P.S.  I think JAMES 1:5 & 12 go very well with your lovely poem.

Dear BSC; The serenity prayer is my favorite. This is a perfect poem and prayer you have written. Once you have surrendered you life and will to God, all the rest is up to Him. The very first lesson, for me, was accepting and loving myself just as I am, the way God already loves you and I.

Sandgrain, Alee, Deleeme, Love Bug, Janet, Ellie and Mirjam - Thank you all for your kind responses, I am really trying here, still not too sure where I am though, but finding a little more every day. Writing these seems to bring me just a little closer.  BTW .... BSC....just my initials... Thank you all again....Bonnie
