Dear God;
I know I'm not a faithful follower of yours, but I do believe.  You see the problems in my home, the tears we all cry.  My brother was sentenced from ten years to life, what can I do?  I pray and pray and nothing happens.  My mom prays and cries all day long, her only son is now gone.  Why couldn't you soften the judges heart, I know I shouldn't question you.  Overall, I still believe and I will still pray.  Just take the pain away from my mother, she doesn't deserve it.  Put your words of comfort in my mouth so that I know what to say to her.  I leave everything in your hands Lord, you know why you're doing this.

Amen.

my brother commited a felony and was sentenced for a long time, please pray for him and my mom.  I am a strong believer in prayer and also know that if we all pray God will make a miracle happen.

miriam,
My heart goes out to you and your family. Many suffer because of their sins, others suffer because of the misdeeds of others-either way the pain in there--but so is an understanding & caring God, who is described in II Corintians 1:3-5, as "the God of all comfort" who comforts us in all our distresses.  Keep on leaning on Him, especially now(I Pet 5:7/Heb.4:16.  And remember-God is able to make His Light shine out of the Darkness--turn curses into blessing in His Time & way. I will remember you all in my prayers, God bless you, David

Oh Miriam, I'm sorry to hear this. Hon, I don't know how else to say this, so I will say it. Pray for God's will.  When one does something wrong, they have to pay that price.
That doesn't mean that he can't be helped where he is.  I know it's painful. My younger brother has been in and out for years and been to boot camp and all.  It's very hurtful when you love them so much.

God does hear you when you pray Hon. Just because you didn't get the answer you were looking for doesn't mean he didn't hear you.
God has his own plan. Rest assured that He knows what's best for all involved.  Trust Him!

This song from Rich Mullins I believe is poppin in my head.  All I can remember of the song right now is...When the Lord reached down, you can be sure that everything turned out right!  And that's so very true.  Put your total trust in and know that He can do it, it's out of your hands so you have to leave it in HIS.

God bless you hon, and if you want to talk, please don't hesitate to email me alright?
~hugs~

Miriam; My heart goes out to you and your mother. I can't even imagine the pain. David and Rebecca have said exactly what you need to hear, so I wont repeat. I will promise you that my prayers are with you and especially your mother. I have two grown sons, and I can feel some of your mothers pain. Tell her to read the scripture where Mary is in agony at the cross, and ask Mary to comfort her, for she surely knows her pain and will give her the grace to bear this.  love, ellie

Miriam, may i first say that you have a lovely name (hehe it's so cool meeting others with the same name!).  But in all seriousness, I actually want to just say that my prayers are with you and your family.  God is a God of comfort, and i urge you to put your trust in Him, for the situation is in his hands.  I'll be thinking of you!
